“In the Footsteps of Paul”
Western & Central Turkey and The Seven Churches of Revelation
October 22 – November 3, 2012
Luke writes in Acts 19: 10 that by the end of Paul’s third missionary journey in A.D. 57, “all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the word of the Lord.” The churches founded by Paul in Asia Minor—modern-day Turkey—were the engines driving the spread of the Gospel throughout the Roman Empire.
On this teaching tour we start in modern-day Istanbul and follow the Apostle Paul to Troas, Ephesus, Antalya, Perge, Pisidian Antioch, Iconium and on into Cappodocia. Along the way we visit the ancient site of Troy (where Dr. Creasy will teach a portion of Homer’s The Iliad), and we explore the sites of all seven churches mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
If you think Paul and company traveled on the hot, dusty roads of Asia Minor (Turkey)—think again! Turkey is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, with gorgeous coastlines, rugged mountains (that rival Yosemite and the Sierras), and some of the nicest, friendliest people you will ever meet. And the food is delicious!
This is a spectacular tour, one of Dr. Creasy’s favorites.
