Writing the Gospels
Not long ago, our Logos Bible Study classes in California took a field trip to the Huntington Library in San Marino, California to see the exhibit, “The Bible and the People.” The exhibit documented the early history of the printed Bible, from the Guttenberg Bible of c. 1450 through the King James Bible of 1611. Since that field trip, many people have asked me about the earlier history of the Bible: How did it come to be written? Who wrote it? How did they write it? And when? These are excellent questions, and they deserve thoughtful answers...
